WAEC Timetable 2027 – WASSCE for School Candidates (May/June 2027)
Quick answer: Under the Federal Government’s harmonised 2027 exam calendar, the WASSCE for School Candidates 2027 is proposed to run from Tuesday 11 May to Friday 18 June 2027, with results targeted for August 2027. These are proposed dates: WAEC has not yet published the paper-by-paper WAEC timetable 2027, so subject dates and times are not available yet.
Which WAEC timetable is this?
This page is for the May/June 2027 WASSCE for School Candidates – the exam SS3 students write in their final year. It is not the 2026 WAEC GCE (WASSCE for Private Candidates, Second Series), which is running now until 28 October 2026; for those papers see our WAEC timetable 2026. Private candidates writing NECO this year should see the NECO GCE timetable 2026 (SSCE External, 4–21 November 2026).
On 14 October 2026 the Federal Ministry of Education said it had met the heads of JAMB, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS in Abuja to harmonise the 2027 national exam calendar, so that exams do not clash and results are out in time for September admissions. The Ministry described the windows below as proposed timelines that are still being coordinated with the exam bodies.

Status: Awaited. WAEC publishes its subject-by-subject timetable (Physics, Chemistry, Biology for science students; Literature-in-English, Government, CRS/IRS for art students; English Language and General Mathematics for everyone) on waecnigeria.org, usually a few months before the exam. We will add the full paper-wise table, with times in WAT, to this page as soon as the official PDF is released. We do not publish guessed paper dates.
